Minor Requirements
Students from the faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, and Business and Economics may declare a minor in History.
To obtain a minor in History, First and Second-Year students admitted in the academic year 2010 -11 and after are required to take at least 6 credit units in a first-year History course and not less than 30 credit units of second and third year History course.
Second and Third-Year students admitted before the academic year 2010 - 11 are subject to the previous requirements and required to take 24 credit units of second and third-year courses from the History Syllabus. As a prerequisite, 6 credit units in a first-year course or courses are required.
Interdisciplinary Minors
The Faculty of Arts offer a number of Interdisciplinary Minors to which the Department of History contributes courses.
Students may select courses from the lists specified in the syllabuses to satisfy the requirements for up to two
interdisciplinary minors but shall not be permitted to take more than 12 credits from one department/programme to
satisfy the requirements of one minor. The same course shall not be taken to fulfil the requirements for a major and a minor,
or for two minors.
